What do I need to know before I turn up to my Podiatry appointment?

What should I bring to my Podiatry appointment

  • List of current medication
  • List of health conditions and approximate duration
  • List of injuries, accidents and surgery
  • Referral if you have one (Referral only required under DVA and Chronic disease management plan)
  • Shoes (work, sport) and orthotics if you have them
  • Cards (Medicare, Private Health, DVA) if you have them
  • Method of payment (Cash, Visa, MasterCard, Debit card )

What should I wear to my Podiatry appointment

Comfortable clothes for your podiatry visit
  • Comfortable clothing
  • Clothing that will maintain your modesty but allow access to whole leg
  • Loose clothes can be rolled back if required
  • Shorts give access to most of the leg
  • For Biomechanical assessment active wear may be most suitable (ask your Podiatrist)
  • Bring a smile…it makes for a happier day
